What is the PADI Open Water Course?
So you want to learn to scuba dive! This is the course for you. The PADI Open Water Diver course is the most basic certification you can get as an independent recreational diver and it is recognized worldwide. You do not need to be extra fit to quailfy, just in regular health. The PADI Open Water Diver Course consists of 3 modules; knowledge development, confined water sessions and open sea dives. You need to complete all three in order to be certified and we conduct the 3 components weekly.
What you can do after this course
- With you Open Water certification, you will be able to dive with a buddy to a maximum depth of 18m, and go for leisure trips.
- The next step is the Advanced Open Water Diver Course or other Specialties.

Course Prerequisites
- At least 15 years old for Open Water Course
- At least 10 years old for Junior Open Water Course
- Able to swim 200 meters or snorkel 300 meters
- Able to float for 10 minutes
- Anyone with regular health and fitness

The Padi Open Water Diver Course consists of 3 modules; knowledge development, confined water sessions and open sea dives. You need to complete all three in order to be certified and we conduct the 3 components weekly.

1. Dive Theory Lesson
Learn the basics of diving like buoyancy control, equipment handling, dive physics and much more over two sessions! We will watch 5 videos, do 4 quizzes and the final exam.

What to Prepare?
Please read your PADI Open Water Manual and do the knowledge reviews after each chapter. Bring it as well as the table that comes with it.
2. Confined Pool Session
With the basics, it’s time to hit the water to practice what you’ve learnt. Get hands-on experience assembling and operating your dive gear and breathe underwater for the first time!

Every Sunday, 9:30am to 3:30pm the latest.

What to Prepare?
Please bring a light lunch and water, sunscreen, goggles for you swim test, towel and swimming attire. There are shower facilities available too.
3. Open Sea Dives
Get down and get wet to experience Scuba Diving in the open sea for the first time! We will be diving off the shore or boat, observing marine life in at least 4 open water dives

Location
One weekend in Malaysia (Friday 7:00pm to Sunday 10:00pm)
