What is the PADI Rescue Diver Course?

Love a challenge? Be rewarded with the PADI Rescue Diver course. This demanding course will train you to be a safer and more confident diver. Be fully prepared and equipped to manage problems; more than that, to prevent them before they occur!

What you can do after this course

  • With you Rescue certification, you will be a better diver, able to save yourself through self-rescue techniques.
  • Also, you will benefit others as you will be able to assist with divers by recognizing and helping them if they have problems.
  • The next step is to GO PRO with the PADI Divemaster Course or if you are interested in other recreational courses, the PADI Specialties.

Course Prerequisites

  • At least 12 years old
  • A PADI Advanced Open Water diver
  • You must have logged more than 20 dives
  • CPR and first aid certified (Available in our 2-in-1 EFR and Rescue package deal

What you will learn

  • Self-rescue techniques
  • What to do when an accident occurs
  • How to recognize divers in trouble
  • How to rescue panicky or unresponsive divers

The Padi Open Water Diver Course consists of 3 modules; knowledge development, confined water sessions and open sea dives. You need to complete all three in order to be certified and we conduct the 3 components weekly.

1. Dive Theory Lesson
Theory Class

Learn the basics of diving like buoyancy control, equipment handling, dive physics and much more over two sessions! We will watch 5 videos, do 4 quizzes and the final exam.

One Weekday evening, usually Tuesdays. 7pm to 9:30pm

What to Prepare?

Please read your PADI Rescue Diver Manual, do the knowledge reviews after each chapter and bring it along for class.

2. Confined Pool Session
Pool Session

With the basics, it’s time to hit the water to practice what you’ve learnt. Get hands-on experience assembling and operating your dive gear and breathe underwater for the first time!

Sessions

Every Sunday, 9:30am to 3:30pm the latest.

What to Prepare?

Please bring a light lunch, sunscreen, goggles for you swim test, and swimming attire. Shower facilities available.

3. Rescue Dives
Open Water Dives

Get down and get wet to experience Scuba Diving in the open sea for the first time! We will be diving off the shore or boat, observing marine life in at least 5 open water dives

Sessions

We have trips every weekend, refer to our trip schedule HERE for exact dates.

Location

One weekend in Malaysia (Friday 7:00pm to Sunday 10:00pm)

What to Prepare?

Pack your personal things for the weekend, your passport and local currency. Please contact us if you have any questions.
