What is the Emergency First Response Course?

Whether you are a diver or not, first aid and CPR are essential skills to have. The life-saving skills that you learn from the Emergency First Response course can be used in all situations. Be confident and prepared so you can respond quickly in a serious medical emergency. EFR is an internationally recognized qualification that is valid for a period of two years, after which a short refresher is recommended.

What you can do after this course

With you emergency First Response Certification, you will be able to perform CPR and provide first aid.
Also, you will benefit others in the workplace, home and on dive trips
The next step is the PADI Rescue Diver Course or other Specialties.

Course Prerequisites

No minimum age limit, no diving certification required.
Have the desire to care for other people
Be willing to assist others in a medical emergency

What you will learn

Basic Life Support CPR and rescue breathing at the layperson level
Use an Automated External Defibrillator
Prevent and care for the victim
Manage injury to the spine
Reduce the risk of a disease transmitting with the use of barriers
Apply basic first aid

Our Emergency First Responder is a dry course and incorporates two primary components – CPR and First Aid

1. Knowledge Development

This is self-study. You can do it anywhere at your own pace including home or the beach!

What to Prepare?

Please read your EFR Manual and do the knowledge reviews after each chapter. Also, it is recommended that you get a pocket mask.

2. Practical Session

Time to practice CPR and First Aid, we will also be watching a video.
